Dead Tree Blossoms
There is a tree amongst many along the path I walk to get to the bus that takes me to work. It must be 100 years old. At some point in the winter it snapped at the trunk, no less than 2 feet wide. And so it laid, presumably dead for months. When I walked past today, the snapped half had pink blossoms. How were they able to grow without the roots? How long will they last?
